Den 1.91 m. høje, muskuløse australske skuespiller Chris Hemsworth viste sig for første gang på film i 'Star Trek' (2009), hvor han spillede Chris Pines far George Kirk.

Det store gennembrud kom dog to år senere som titelrollen i superheltefilmen 'Thor' (2011) - en rolle han gentager i den kommende 'The Avengers'. Han er mellemste bror til Luke og Liam Hemsworth.
